PitchPulse UWB mesh over goalmouth action — camera-free player intelligence

PitchPulse

Camera-free player intelligence for football

Every player wears a Wahoo-class chest strap under the jersey. Six buffered anchors mesh the pitch. Continuous ball. Biometrics. Analytics that make players better, coaches sharper, and optional match-day advisory — without cameras.

Women’s training with live chest sensor metrics — heart, motion, position, ball
What the strap captures

Heart. Motion. Position. Ball.

Every chest strap streams biometrics and performance — ECG and heart rate, HRV, speed and max speed, distance and high-intensity distance, sprints, accelerations, player load, ball touches and involvement — while the mesh tracks torso and continuous ball. Personal truth after the match. Club insight when you want it.

Athlete experience

Athlete App

After the match, your data only

Athletes pull a personal analytics package to their phone in a short burst. Sensor hardware crypto ID is the access key. Five-minute cooldown. No squad view. No kit control commands.

  • Layer 1 offline metrics on device; Layer 2 personal package when cloud is ready
  • Distance, speed, sprints, load, HR, heat map, involvement — scoped to that sensor
  • Same phone can host Athlete App and Kit Control as separate apps; ACLs stay isolated
PP-M620

Kit Control

Venue ops — separate from Athlete App

The app that turns the system on, arms the match, and shows whether the mesh is healthy. Built as its own product surface so control credentials never mix with athlete personal data.

Session lifecycle

OFF → SETUP → ARMED → LIVE ⇄ PAUSED → period breaks → END. Power, pause, resume, restart — operator controlled.

Health from the mesh

Anchor online count, survey/geometry, dual-ball alert, buffer free space. Can-start gates are explicit.

Composition (optional paths)

PP-I410 referee watch and live computer (C310) toggles. Both default off. I410 only when a referee is in the game and wants the capability. Never blocks arm.

Torso measure (optional)

G220 + nearest anchor + chest strap for Law 11 leading-edge depth. Skip anyone — average body defaults apply. Never required to arm.

PP-A210

Buffered field anchor

Dual RX, 16-patch squinted array (mechanical ±27° facets). Dual-channel UWB Ch5 + Ch9 heard at once. ≥ 16 GB match buffer — live when connected, complete after the match. Antenna gain is predicted pending first article.

Envelope
230 × 150 × 66 mm · IP67 · ≤ 1.35 kg
Placement
Six per full pitch — corners A1 A3 A4 A6 at 2.3 m ± 0.3 m on the 45° bisector; mids A2 A5 at 5–10 ft off the touch at halfway. Phase centre 2.5 m. The hull is not the pitch boundary; the frame comes from the PP-G220 survey.
PP-A210 field anchor: light grey radome, finned alloy body, pole mount

Sequence

  1. 01Survey walk — strong corner pins with G220 + nearest anchor
  2. 02Kit Control — power on, composition, optional torso measure (or average body)
  3. 03Arm → start match — recording on buffered anchors
  4. 04Live when connected — progressive fill for Coach Portal; integrity fail-closed on live advisory
  5. 05End match — buffer complete; Athlete App personal burst to athlete phones

Boundaries

  • Measures position, biometrics, ball events, and optional advisory geometry
  • Does not auto-call fouls, cards, or binding offside
  • Athlete App never mixes control commands; Kit Control never shows squad personal packages
Roadmap · expansion

Built for football first. Ready for more.

Same physics core — UWB position, biometrics, and ball intelligence — expands beyond the pitch. Basketball floors. Gridiron fields. One stack, new sports.

  • Basketball — court-scale mesh, load, and possession without cameras.
  • American football — GPS-denied indoor practice, route tracking, contact load.
  • Future sports — any arena where cameras fail and continuous athlete truth wins.

Pilot FAQ

Questions before gear moves.

Scope, accuracy, data ownership, and authority — answered the same way we build the product: precise, bounded, no theatre.

A constrained kit, a defined setup sequence, and clear boundaries on what is measured versus what remains a human decision. We agree scope before gear ships — pitch count, training volume, or range size — not open-ended trials.

PitchPulse and FieldPulse do not rely on optical FOV. Body-worn dual-channel UWB ranges in a mesh of anchors. There is no video of athletes or operators, no lighting dependency, and no camera calibration theatre.

PitchPulse position p95 is a design goal, not a measured result. First-article tables are empty. Do not plan a pilot around 5 cm. FieldPulse likewise publishes a design goal, not a lab number. Integrity fail-closed when confidence is not earned.

Partitioned by design. Athlete App is scoped to sensor-ID personal packages. Coach Portal is team ACL. Clubs do not receive other teams' personal streams. Officials retain authority — advisory geometry never auto-issues fouls or cards.

Yes. Anchors are the local reference. Body sensors range in the mesh. Live tracks when the local network is up; after-action packages when offline-capable buffering is configured. Satellite GPS is not required inside the volume.
AetherendPrecision. Performance. Power.

Centimetre truth. No camera theatre.

PitchPulse is the platform for players, clubs, and optional match-day advisory — ready for constrained pilot conversations.

We reply within two business days. PitchPulse and FieldPulse are covered by pending patent applications.
